Harriet has meant so much to me recently – Eons ago I saw what could have been her aircraft she crashed in at Squantum – Cole Palen’s collection at Old Rhinebeck Field in Upstate New York, this was many years ago – there is considerable debate as to whether the Palen plane was in fact the plane she flew in at the ill-fated Boston meet.

Two weeks ago I visited an old friend in New York and we went Harriet’s grave at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York. It was quite a moving experience. If you wish I would love to send you some pictures I took up there – this was on October 16th – including an exotic relief bronzed engraving of her monoplane she flew the Channel in mounted atop the bronze plaque.

I so enjoyed your video report and always wondered as to the whereabouts of the plane loaned to her by Louis Bleriot for the Channel Flight.

      I am sincerely yours,

      Chris
